<\/a><\/p>\nI am for keeping the colour of the damned poppies as they are. Men and women have died for our country and what did they shed if not blood upon their deaths. Let\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s remember that our freedoms came and continue to come at a price. Why is it a bad thing to remember that yes blood was shed and continues to be shed rather than a candy coated notion of peace wrapped in a white veil. \u00e2\u20ac\u201c LEST WE FORGET – I am all for world peace\u00c2\u00a0 – if it were an actual achievable goal. Although I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t believe violence solves problems, unfortunately it is sometimes necessary to protect others who can\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t protect themselves. For the overly religious sighting the 6th commandment \u00e2\u20ac\u0153thou shall not commit murder\u00e2\u20ac\u009d, let me say that murder is not the only form of violence although it can be an avoidable by product.<\/p>\n
There is blood in history and the brave men and women should be honored with remembrance, and is a poppy just a poppy? Well, perhaps, until you\u00e2\u20ac\u2122re lying among them.<\/p>\n
