But who knows? I may never find out, I will have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
That title may seem cryptic but it really isn’t just take it for what it is, “My elephant keeps moving.”<\/p>\n
A friend of mine just came back from a trip that took her through India and Nepal. She was gone for 2 and a half weeks and was greatly missed. When she came back we were regaled by stories of her adventure and I was presented with and small stone elephant. I wanna say it is made of unpolished jade but it may just be soap stone but whatever it is made from I love it.\u00c2\u00a0I received this at work and when I got to my desk I placed it on top of my right monitor on the left hand side.<\/p>\n
And that is where it stayed for a few days.<\/p>\n
I would sit writing, googling, emailing, and when my mind would wonder it would become the object of my daydreams. It would be taking it’s slow arduous walk across the desert, spraying water in the air as it refreshed itself in a small oasis, or reaching its long trunk into the trees for some food.<\/p>\n
But the other day as I looked up it was gone. At first I was startled but was quickly relieved to find it on the top of my left monitor on the right hand side. I chalked it up to someone maybe knocked it off and placed it where they thought it was.<\/p>\n
But since then the elephant seems to making its way across the top of the monitor. It is nearing the chattering teeth sticker at the center of the monitor. I don’t know who is moving it or why but some how this phenomenon has intrigued me, as you can tell because I am writing about it.<\/p>\n
I don’t think that it intrigues me because I want to find out who is moving it, and that “who” would be the simplest\u00c2\u00a0explanation\u00c2\u00a0for its travels, but because I have too much imagination or have seen too many movies (I am unsure which is affecting which). I would like to, or should I say prefer to, find that the\u00c2\u00a0pachyderm\u00c2\u00a0is moving itself. As with movies like Small Soldiers<\/em>, The Indian in the Cupboard<\/em>, and Toy Story<\/em>, it is probably coming to life and having some sort of marvelous adventure when people aren’t around or paying attention.\u00c2\u00a0Maybe it has an\u00c2\u00a0endearing voice, a heart of gold, and once in a while says something profound.<\/p>\n But who knows? I may never find out, I will have to wait and see.<\/p>\n
