A couple of days before I knew I was going to make a semi-irrational decision that would change my financial standing I was out with my friend going to see a movie. We were hella early because I was way to excited to see the movie (I think). But we had a good hour to kill and we ended up in HMV. I hadn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t gone in there for a really long time simply because I was trying to curb my impulsive DVD buying. But that day I was cool. I didn\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t buy any, there was nothing I was willing to pay for and everything else I would have bought I already had. But I was in the mood to add some new music to my library.<\/p>\n

I know you are saying to yourself, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Who buys CDs anymore?\u00e2\u20ac\u009d Well the answer would be me. I don\u00e2\u20ac\u2122t buy anywhere near as much as I used to. I just pick up a song here and there if it sounds interesting. Most albums out there now only have one or two songs are any good anyways. So this way I usually skip all the crap and get the goodness and that is all I am looking for. But that day I did want a whole album, something tangible instead of magical digital technology that streams from somewhere and produces fabulous rhythmic sounds.<\/p>\n

I was looking for music that was a little different than what I usually listen too, has a good beat, energizing (makes me want to dance) and generally entertaining. I was flipping through stuff and nothing was screaming out \u00e2\u20ac\u0153pick me!\u00e2\u20ac\u009d and I almost left empty handed. But then I walk around the corner and there on display was this pretty amateur tacky looking CD that said to me in a cool overly confident voice, \u00e2\u20ac\u0153you know you want it.\u00e2\u20ac\u009d<\/p>\n

I picked it up and flipped it over looking at the song list. I had only heard one song off of LMFAO\u00e2\u20ac\u2122s CD \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Party Rock\u00e2\u20ac\u009d but for some reason that was enough for me. Sometimes you just have to take the plunge and try new things. Plus it was on sale for $9.99.<\/p>\n

I put it on as soon as I got in the car and the intro is part dance part \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Eye of the Tiger\u00e2\u20ac\u009d. That had me scared at first. I thought what did I just buy<\/em>? And my friend gave me a raise eyebrow look and started to laugh at me. But I kept listening. And I have to say I like it.<\/p>\n

One thing about this album is that you have to remember that it is dance music. There are no complex lyrics or revolutionary musical qualities about it. It is repetitive, electronic, base heavy, and just flat out fun. It is club music. You listen to it and you can feel the coolness of the drink in your hand and you can see the mass of sweaty bodies and flashing lights going along to the beat.<\/p>\n

All the beats are danceable. From beginning to end it makes you want to move. You will either start to tap your toe or nod your head or just something. I am listening to it right now and I just realized I am typing to the beat. It is just that simple that it is intoxicating. Songs like \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m in Miami Bitch\u00e2\u20ac\u009d (which on Flow they play the TO version \u00e2\u20ac\u0153I\u00e2\u20ac\u2122m in Toronto Trick\u00e2\u20ac\u009d) and \u00e2\u20ac\u0153Leaving U 4 The Groove\u00e2\u20ac\u009d get me every time.<\/p>\n
