Run Nelly Run!!

So this is what it comes down to – I ran a marathon years ago. You could even qualify it as eons. I hadnt left the “-een” phase in terms of age. I was super focussed and I worked at it hard every single day. Somehow, I managed to preserve the running part, in that I run almost each day and it is single handedly the one thing I think that has prevented me from gaining weight. Initially, the endeavour had begun as a way to combat my weight. Over the years, I have more or less accepted that my body is good the way it is and it works and I am thankful – MOST DAYS. Although, recently I had this inkling, an itch really to challenge myself physically and so I have decided to do it again and here we go!!

I have somehow managed to recruit, one unsuspecting lover who has agreed to train with me and get with it. So as of monday, I am officially going to begin the diet changes. I ran some 10 laps around a track not too far from my home this morning and while my body had an initial shock by the distance, it grew accustomed quickly. I am hoping that this trend holds and I can take it to the next level.
