Coffee – Not for everyone

Good Morning everyone – if anyone’s reading this – I am exhausted! Last night marked my first shift after store opening at my part-time job. I arrived early and walked the store, enjoying the chance to talk with some of the associates i hadn’t seen in a few days and to browse the store now that it’s put together. I got an official name tag – signed in and BOOM was put on cash. I have a bit of experience on cash and I have to admit I did enjoy it but it will take a few more shifts to get into the swing of things — after all was said and done it was close to midnight when I finally crossed the threshold of the store doors to make my way to my car and finally home. I’m fairly sure that there are others out there, like me, who can’t just arrive home and jump into bed and go to sleep, so I guess it was closer to 1 am before I was asleep.

This morning, now I can’t honestly remember if I woke up before my alarm at 6:30, I turned off the alarm and rolled back over until 7 am. I am not a coffee drinker and I hear eating an apple will help wake you up but I’m looking for more tried and true remedies to ward off tiredness – so if you have any please let me know – and drinking red bull or those energy drinks are not an option – although I am curious about those 5 hr energy thingies that I’ve seen out there so again let me know what you do to stay awake.
