No I am not talking about the Spice Girls song.
Great! Now I have the Spice Girls song in my head. Afternoon ruined! Or made awesome…?
‘Cause tonight is the night when 2 becomes 1
i need some love like I never needed love before
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
I had a little love and now I’m back for more
(Wanna make love to ya baby)
Set your spirits free
It’s the only way to be
Yeah, guess who has two thumbs and didn’t have to look up those lyrics. This girl!
Anyways, this weekend I went to a wedding, hence the title, and unlike the wedding I went to earlier in the summer I did get to do my nails. I think it came out looking pretty good.
I went with a theme for this look, cuz why would I ever do something normal? The black represented the groom, the cream the bride, the sparkles the ring and the purple the guests. Purple was chosen cuz I wore a purple dress, a little matching is a good thing.
The object I am holding is a lovely bottle of red wine, the memento that was given to all the guests at the wedding to commemorate their special day.
This week I used 8 polishes to get the look:
Base coat – Essie “Grow Faster” Formula
Black – Rimmel Lasting Finish Pro 430 “Black Satin”
Beige/cream – Zoya Dixie Dust “Godiva” – under this I have a coat of “Isla” by Julep. It is a new polish I am trying and I have to say this colour did not work well. It is a pearly white with kind of a metallic sheen to it. But I couldn’t get it even after 2 coats and it just look streaky and messy so I covered it with the Zoya colour.
Sparkles – Julep “Mila” – This sparkle only needed 2 coats for a solid cover. I could have gotten away with one but it really wanted it to be packed with sparkles.
Purple – Julep “Bette” – This one came out beautifully. It has a jelly kind of finish with a real pop to the colour.
Gold – This isn’t actually nail polish it is nail tape. You can buy them in rolls of many different colours.
Top Coat – LA Girl NT1 Diamond Top Coat
Top coat on black – I don’t know if you can really tell this in the picture but there are 2 finishes on the black nail. The tip, past the gold strip, is a classic high shine finish, and on the rest I used Essie’s “Matte About You”.
That is it for now. I will try to post soon cuz I have lots to post about. But until then I leave you with this. Enjoy.

Who would have thought than sexy women saying “Wanna make love to ya baby” could be so unsettling?
One question; do you do both hands the same way?
Unsettling? Or do you mean alluring?
You are not the first person to ask that and I am not sure why people think I wouldn’t do both hands the same way. That just confuses me. Yes I do do both hands the same way and if at any point I didn’t I would say so.
