I’m gonna make it there

This morning I woke up to this

Snowing, -12, with the windchill of -21 degrees Celsius. It was not inviting at all. But alas I was forced to shower, dress, and go out in this. I really shouldn’t complain, I went outside in this weather on the weekend cuz I was bored and wanted to play board games. I had no excuse not to go to work.

This weekend I did my nails to match the weather

Snowflakes and penguins. It is about right. But what most will not see or know (except for those reading this) is that I did my toes as well this weekend. I did them in a completely opposite theme. It is more of a dream world, of where I wish to be.

Oh the warm sunset, viewed from the beach somewhere tropical. It would be wonderful. But as you can see I still kept the season in mind by putting little lights on the palm tree. I wish I was there now. (I will be soon though, HA!) Also this was the first time I did the gradient technique and it actually worked! I have tried before and failed miserably at it. Just like with the marbling. One day I will get that down.

This week I am staying with the holiday theme by holding the classic candy cane. Maybe I should have had that one last week when I have the candy cane nails. And the toes were pictured at home just before I put on my thermal socks and shoved them into boots so I could trudge through the snow.

I used only 9 polishes to get both looks, which seems like a small amount to me cuz I usually use 9 just on my hands, with the help of a dotter, a fine brush, and a sponge.
